Glad is a Los Angeles based pop-up restaurant that serves di recco style gourmet focaccias in farmers markets and prestigious food events like Smorgasburg.

Flexible Dough, Flexible Logo.

The starting point of Glad’s incredibly delicious focaccia is its stretchy dough, masterfully hand crafted by Chef Cihan Kaymakcalan. After watching him make his magic with the special dough, it was difficult not to be inspired by how thin, flexible and dynamic it was. So we decided to make it the hero of Glad’s brand identity.

By its nature, a pop-up restaurant is flexible and easy to adapt. You can set it up in half an hour, and put it in the middle of the most popular food market in town, a private birthday party, a big business event, or any occasion you can think of.

That, and the stretchiness of the dough, sparked the idea of creating a flexible brand identity that organically changes on every other marketing material while keeping its essence with its special red and beige color scheme, and handwritten wordmark.
